Attendees: Sam Kapustin, Rabbi Shmuel Goldin, Kal Feinberg, Marilyn Mack, Jack Martell,
Marty Weisberg, Sabine Himmelfarb (by video)
Meeting called to order at 4pm

Sam gave a Dvar Torah – Parashat B’ha’alotcha. The parsha focuses on four episodes about
Moshe, each of which provides a message about leadership. Moshe seeks help, is willing to

accept help, deals with adversity and ignores attacks on his leadership, letting G- deal with the
attackers. Moshe is self-sacrificing, humble, understands the people and remains focused on
the mission, a role model for all leaders.

            1. Minutes of last meeting were accepted.

            2. HVAC update. Kal has spoken to BF regarding KST’s decision to create a fund for an
inverter for the lobby. Sima, director of BF, was very amenable. Kal obtained bids from
three contractors, including the company that regularly services BF’s HVAC. The lowest

bid for equipment and installation was from BF’s company, for 7900 NIS for a good
quality unit and installation. BF has offered to have their electrician provide the
electrical infrastructure for the unit ( a line and outlet and shabbat clock.) A letter to

confirm this will be given to BF. A potential donor has offered a contribution towards
KST’s costs.BF is very happy the HVAC for the lobby will be donated by KST. We thank
Kal for the work he has done to make this happen. Hopefully, the unit can be installed as

               soon as possible.
A motion was made to approve this expense, seconded and VAAD voted unanimously in
               favor.

            3. Rosh Hashona/Yom Kippur- Our facility in the BF upper Ulam was full last year and this
could be an issue again this year. We have no other alternatives, and we will need to see
how many people sign up and how best to handle our numbers. Priority will be given to

               members.

We now have a locked cabinet for our supplies in the main floor Ulam and a new

refrigerator, which will soon have a lock installed. Thank you to Nelson and Carole
Brenner who donated the refrigerator. Our Keter Aron used on Yamim Noraim for Sifrei
Torah has been moved upstairs to a storage place until we need it.
