First Floor
· Reconstruct the original living room, den, and dining room and utilize as exhibition space.

Provide details and finishes to match ca. 1940 appearance as a setting for the exhibits.
· Reconstruct original kitchen to its ca. 1940 appearance with exhibits of salvaged household

items. Provide details, finishes, and fabricate kitchen cabinetry and countertops to match the
configuration and appearance of that period.
· Reconstruct the ca. 1940 screened porch.

Second Floor
· Reconstruct the four (4) bedrooms to ca. 1940 configuration. Provide original details and

finishes to match their appearance at that time.
· Bedrooms may serve as exhibit, office and/or staff support space.

· Reconstruct the second-floor hall bathroom to match the original finishes and historic

bathtub. Provide traditional style, handicapped accessible sink and toilet fixtures.

BASIC SERVICES
PHASED IMPLEMENTATION
The DFCLT has received two (2) funding grants focused on different aspects of the project
construction. We anticipate the design work will be undertaken as one project. However, since
construction will be implemented in two phases, this proposal is presented in two phases, each
with a separate scope and schedule.

· Phase 1

o Phase 1.A focuses on the foundation repair. Construction completed in early 2021.
o Phase 1.B includes the design and construction documents for the restoration of the
remainder of the Dennis House.

· Phase 2 involves the future construction period service for the Dennis House restoration.

Construction is expected to be completed by 2024, dependent on fundraising.
