                        PHASE 1
                        Phase 1.A – Stone Foundation Wall Repairs
                          SCOPE
                          Phase 1A focuses on the foundation wall repairs, including evaluation of the existing stone
                          foundation walls; repairs and partial reconstruction of the foundation walls; temporary bracing
                          of those foundation walls. Bernardon and the structural engineers will provide the following
                          scope of services:

                          1.A.1    ASSESSMENT AND CONSTRUCTION DOCUMENTS
                           A.  Kickoff Meeting:  Attend a virtual kickoff meeting with representatives of the Dennis
                               Farm  Charitable  Land  Trust  (DFCLT),  and  the  selected  contractor  to  review  the
                               proposed scope of work for the foundation repairs, project requirements, coordination,
                               and schedule.

                           B.  Preconstruction Meeting:  Meet on site with the selected contractor to verify the existing
                               conditions and review the proposed scope for foundation repairs. The design team will
                               survey the existing structure and document any additional work or design clarification.
                           C.  Scope  Memorandum:  Based  on  the  preconstruction  meeting,  Bernardon  and  the
                               structural  engineers  will  issue  a  memorandum  summarizing  the  pre-construction
                               meeting, the final scope of work and clarifications. The memorandum will be illustrated
                               with photographs and design sketches as needed. Design of temporary foundation wall
                               bracing will be delegated to the contractor’s engineer.
                           D.  Building Code Review:  Bernardon and the structural engineers will consult with local
                               code enforcement agency to review of the building codes and standards that will apply
                               to the foundation repair work. It is anticipated meetings will be conducted on-line; and
                               permit applications and site meetings with the local building official will be facilitated
                               by the selected contractor.

                          1.A.2    CONSTRUCTION PHASE SERVICES
                           A.  RFI’s:  Answer questions and Requests for information (RFI’s) that may arise during
                               the course of construction.
                           B.  Shop Drawing Review:  Review shop drawings and material/product submittals.
                           C.  Site Visits:  Site visits will be scheduled to coincide with the key stages of construction.
                               One (1) site visit will be conducted by the structural engineer. The architect will make
                               one (1) site visit. Additional site visits will be invoiced as an additional service.
