Gordon Foods Distribution Centers, Multiple locations- Pittsburgh PA, Atlanta GA, Charlotte NC: This project
included MEP design build, BIM modeling and LEED services for a 415,000 sq. ft. new distribution center and a 20,000
sq. ft. new vehicle maintenance building with 41,000 sf of office spaces, 234,000 sq. ft. of refrigerated spaces, and
160,000 sq. ft. of storage, maintenance and utility areas. The mechanical design included rooftop packaged heating
and cooling systems for the office areas, heating and ventilation for storage, service and utility areas and plumbing for
restrooms and tepid water distribution for roof mounted safety showers and wash down hoses. Performance
specifications were developed for the fire protection design.
Chesapeake Winery, Chesapeake City, Maryland - This project included phased mechanical, electrical and
plumbing design build services for three new buildings. The project included a new 9,035 SF, 1-story production
building with a 1,584 SF office and storage mezzanine. This project utilized high efficiency split system heat pumps
with supplemental electric and propane unit heaters. This project also contains de-stratification fans. Interior lighting
design included T5 HO fluorescent type lighting for the production area with T8 fluorescent type lighting for the
supporting areas with battery powered emergency and exit lighting as required for life safety. Electrical power
distribution design included a 120/208volt – 3phase service with distribution panels sized for the all the process
equipment and building systems.
Carlisle Construction Materials Plant 4-5-6 Expansions, Carlisle, Pennsylvania – These projects included HVAC,
plumbing, fire protection, and electrical design for expansions and renovations to three buildings, plus a new 2100hp
drive room, cut-off area, electrical room cooling and a new 69KV substation and primary distribution upgrade. The
HVAC designs included rooftop VAV systems with electric reheat for office areas, 80ton split system for electrical
room, twin 20ton split systems for the drive room, gas heating and ventilation units for maintenance and storage
areas, air circulation and vent units for manufacturing areas.
Cintas, York PA, Philadelphia PA and Charlestown SC. - These are all new industrial laundry facilities for Cintas the
uniform people. Each building is approximately 56,400 square feet. The electrical component of this project consist of
a 2500 amp, 480/277 volt, 3 phase service to an integrated switchboard containing panels, transformers and owner
metering. Electrical design includes all lighting, site lighting with point-by-point calculations, power distribution, fire
alarm, security and power to process equipment. The mechanical and plumbing design includes HVAC for offices, and
sorting areas, general ventilation, heating, and process mechanical for the laundry areas.
Snyder’s Pretzel Production Expansion, Hanover, Pennsylvania – MEP design for a 75,000sf addition to the existing
pretzel production building including 12,500sf office area, expanded production line area, new packaging area, and new
warehouse area. HVAC included multiple zone bypass variable volume roof top units, rooftop gas makeup air and
heating units, and general ventilation fans. Electrical systems to include the evaluation of the existing electrical loading
of the building, primary switch addition to existing exterior switchgear, primary service entrance to the plant, primary
and secondary main switchgear, power distribution to include 480/277V distribution panels with associated step-
down transformers and 208/120V distribution panels, relocated scales, new SBR Tank, interior lighting, exterior
lighting for new parking areas, new dock area, and basketball court; and accommodations for telephone, data, fire, and
security systems by owner.
