Respective Projects Include:
Kroger Automated Cold Storage Distribution Warehouse, Multiple locations- MD & WI: Paragon provided MEP services
for a 320,000 sq. ft. facility with offices, conditioned storage, refrigerated storage, and van maintenance areas. This project
also included the renovation of a 300,000 sq. ft. existing warehouse. Electrically, the project included 6 megawatts of
primary electrical service with full parallel generator back-up. Led lighting with automatic controls. Power coordination and
connections to robotic automatic fulfillment and conveying equipment. Full integrated fire alarm system. Delivery van
refrigeration connections in parking areas and site lighting.
Gordon Foods Distribution Centers, Multiple locations – Pittsburgh PA – Atlanta GA – Charlotte NC- This project included
MEP design build, BIM modeling and LEED services for a 415,000 sq. ft. new distribution center and a 20,000 sq. ft. new
vehicle maintenance building with 41,000 sq. ft. of office spaces, 234,000 sq. ft. of refrigerated spaces, and 160,000 sq. ft.
of storage, and maintenance and utility areas. The electrical design included primary power service, parallel generators for
normal and emergency backup of the entire building, power for refrigeration systems, conveyor systems, HVAC, lighting,
and site lighting. Electrical systems included phone and data distribution and coordination, fire alarm, and card access.
Amazon Distribution Center, Perryville, MD- This project included MEP design services for a 1.1 million sf design build
warehouse facility. Interior lighting design included high bay LED type light fixtures with individual occupancy sensors for
each fixture and exterior wall and pole mounted LED light fixtures with timeclock and photocell control. A generator was
installed powered emergency and exit light fixtures as required to meet life safety code requirements. Electrical power
distribution design included an underground 277/480volt – 3phase power company service with multiple switchboards and
a fire pump installation. Step-down transformers were provided for sub-panel to feed 120/208volt – 3phase distribution
panels. A fire alarm system was provided with initiation and signaling devices located as required by code. Hydrogen fuel
cells were used to power the forklifts. A lightning protection system was installed.
