Legacy Hats Expansion, Hanover, Pennsylvania - This project included HVAC and electrical engineering services for a
28,600 sf design build warehouse expansion. This project utilized an existing air rotation unit with new exhaust fans and
louvers to condition the space. Lighting design included industrial type T5 HO fluorescent type light fixtures with individual
occupancy sensors for control throughout the warehouse area with battery powered emergency and exit light fixtures as
required for life safety. Electrical power distribution design included 480volt – 3phase power feed from the existing service
equipment with a 30KVA step-down transformer to feed a 120/208volt – 3phase distribution panel. Existing fire alarm
system was extended to the new addition with new initiating and signaling devices as required by code.
FT. Detrick Consolidated Logistics Facility Frederick, Maryland – This project included design build MEP services BIM
modeling, and LEED services (silver) for a new 44,742sf logistics center and a 53,900sf operations and maintenance building
which consisted of high bay single story facility with smaller two story office areas. HVAC design in shipping and receiving
areas included pretreatment for airborne substances prior to passing the CRP screening. HVAC systems included rooftop VAV
systems with hot water reheat for office areas and direct fired gas and infrared tube heaters, exhaust fans and louvers in
maintenance and storage areas. The site lighting consisted of LED lights for all road ways and parking lots. The parking lots
were provided with power for electric vehicles and car ports with a photo-voltaic array system will be provided for the
vehicles. The interior lighting systems were designed in accordance with the Lighting Design Guide and the IESNA Lighting
Handbook. The building was designed with a fire protection and mass notification system. MEP design included V/E services
and coordination with the sub-contractors for budget control within the government scope.
BJ’s Wholesale Club, Bangor, Maine - This project included mechanical and electrical design required to convert an
existing, vacant 94,000 sf Home Depot building to a new design build BJ’s store with separation of utilities to feed both BJ’s
and adjacent retail spaces. This project included packaged rooftop units with CO2 sensors, hot gas re-heat for
dehumidification, VFD for fan speed control, and salt resistant stainless steel heat exchanger and coils. Electrical design
included service upgrade, complete relighting design, power connections to owner’s kitchen equipment, power
connections to all HVAC unit and complete fire alarm upgrade.
BJ’s Wholesale Club, Charlotte, North Carolina - This project included mechanical and electrical design required to convert
an existing, vacant 107,000 sf Home Depot building to a new design build BJ’s store. This work included the separation of
utilities to feed both BJ’s and adjacent retail spaces. This project utilizes numerous existing split systems air handling units
with new ductless split system heat pumps and a new dehumidifying make-up air unit. This job also utilizes ventless
exhaust hoods, air curtains, and gas unit heaters. Electrical design included service upgrade, complete relighting design,
power connections to owner’s kitchen equipment, power connections to all HVAC unit and complete fire alarm upgrade.
Bakery De France, Frederick, Maryland – Mechanical and plumbing design of a new 100,000 sq ft bakery. The
mechanical design consisted of 100 H.P. steam boiler, steam piping to process equipment, 50 H.P. compressed air
system, gas piping for process and HVAC equipment, special ventilation design for process equipment, HVAC systems
for process areas, storage areas, office areas and utility areas. The plumbing design included sanitary and process waste
piping, domestic cold and hot water distribution piping and compressed air piping.
