Respective Projects Include:
Steamboat Blvd, Manchester, Pennsylvania - This project included mechanical and electrical engineering design bid
services for a 159,000 sf warehouse addition. The addition also included a breakroom, one large gang restroom, and a
flammable storage area. The project also included minor renovations to the existing warehouse, which included building a
wall to form an electrical room, adding a trucker’s lounge and restroom, and renovations to three gang restrooms. This
project utilized a split system heating/cooling air handler, a standard rooftop unit, and two direct fired make-up air units to
condition the area. Interior lighting included T5 HO fluorescent type light fixtures with individual occupancy sensors for
control with generator powered emergency and exit lighting as required by code. The design included an alternate design
for LED type lighting. Electrical power distribution design included a new 277/480volt – 3Phase power feed from an existing
distribution panel to feed new lighting and HVAC equipment with step-down transformers to feed 120/208volt distribution
panels. Power connections were provided for the dock levelers and associated dock equipment. Existing fire alarm system
was extended to the new addition with initiation and signaling devices located throughout as required by code. A UPS
system design was provided for the Data system as per tenant’s requirements.
Just Born Confections, Allentown, Pennsylvania – The project is a 608,000sf low temperature storage facility and offices for
a confections company which has achieved a LEED Gold Certification. The HVAC design includes two 500 ton variable speed
ultra-high efficiency screw chillers with primary and variable speed secondary pumping with 100% redundant chilled water
capacity. The air systems include large vertical air handlers with chilled water cooling, gas heating, and gas fired
humidifiers. The chilled water system uses R-134a refrigerant with zero ozone depletion potential and minimal global
warming potential. Ventilation was increased by 30% to improve indoor air quality and related health and productivity of
the occupants. The plumbing systems include ultra-low consumption fixtures and dual flow toilets for 40% water
reduction. High efficiency T5 fluorescent lighting systems with automated controls are used throughout.
