Mr. Burdett of tho American Embassy gave mo
the gist of a telegram dated January 12 fropi
Dhahran today.

2. It Bald that King Saud and Shaikh Khal-tfgh
mot on January 9 and "reached an agreement on
the limitation of territorial waters and the
equal division of tho profits of joint off-shore
exploitation, Political boundaries ware flot;
fixed."
3- What this means is not entirely clear
and Sir Bernard Burrows does not seem in a
great hurry to report the information at his
disposal. On the face of it, however, it
looks as though the Ruler of Bahrain is going
to get some more money; which is a very good
thing.
