The ongoing COVID-19 pandemic
caused significant blight to people’s
lives physically, mentally, and
emotionally. The best aspiration for
ending the pandemic is the COVID – 19
vaccination program. But still, many
people have a propensity of going into
the intricacies and find reasons to keep
away from getting the vaccine.
The main intent of “Get Vaccinated” was to find
explanations for these queries raised by the public
and give them a clear cut image of vaccination,
leaving behind all misconceptions. The discussion
was led by two highly reputed medical professionals
who addressed all the major areas of concern and
then resolved any doubts raised by the attendees of
the webinar.
In tandem with the webinar, an awareness campaign was carried out through social media, where
messages from celebrated personalities in the country were publicized, addressing areas such as
adhering to health guidelines and getting vaccinated.
Get Vaccinated is expected to accelerate Sri Lanka’s recovery from the pandemic by creating
awareness in the community and supporting the vaccination process.
