                                              Quarantine Donations was initiated in order to provide assistance to first year undergraduates in the



                                              hour of need. It was brought to notice that an entire batch of students had been quarantined in their



                                              hostels due to an outbreak of the pandemic. They were facing certain difficulties due to not being



                                              prepared for a long stay in the hostel and also under pressure as they were pending examinations.



                                              The  club  raised  funds  in  order  to  donate  essential  rations  to  the  students  and  also  to  uplift  their




                                              spirits during dismal times.

                                              We are partners of a community who has forgotten that humans do not own the earth yet are the



                                              caretakers. The fact that many endemic species have faced the threat of endangerment is tragic, and



                                              we hold the responsibility of reversing this negative equilibrium. Rotaract Club of UOP, along with the



                                              Wildlife  Conservation  Society,  Galle  shepherded  the  project  "Life  for  leopards"  to  identify  and



                                              emphasize the dramatic decline of the Sri Lankan leopard population due to human leopard conflict



                                              while elucidating on counteractions. It's never too late to initiate something worthwhile, something



                                              beyond typical boundaries.




                                              Having  understood  that  discussions  won't  provide  real  solutions  to  this  particular  problem,  we



                                              contributed  to  establishing  a  leopard  research  and  conservation  Center  in  Morningside  on  the



                                              eastern  boundary  of  the  Sinharaja  rain  forest.  This  unit  will  serve  as  a  center  of  excellence  in



                                              formulating short term-long term solutions for the human leopard conflict while providing related



                                              research and development assistance.
