program are assessed on the course level by two types of assessment (continuous and final),

which is clearly stated in course specification (Annex S2-3-5-4 Sample of CS– Measuring

Instruments and Calibration Course). A random sample correction report for a course exam is
attached (Annex S2-3-5-5 pages 24). This analysis identifies the item difficulty (differentiate

questions from easy to difficult) and item discrimination (differentiate questions from highly

discriminating to low, zero discrimination, or negative discrimination). Accordingly, the
coordinator can take decisions for the different items according to these results. These decisions

may be good items will be preserved in the question bank, defective questions will be revised and

corrected for the next implementation and bad questions shall be deleted from the exam.

Additionally, the coordinator helps the students to clear up any points of confusion in answers to

some of the questions in the continuous assessment.

2-3-6: Effective procedures are used to control academic integrity at the program level to verify

that the work and assignments of students are their own. *
Students in Al-Baha University commit with studies/exams regulations and executive rules of the

university (Annex S2-3-6-1) and Student disciplinary code of conduct (Annex S2-3-6-2).

Consequently, dean of faculty of engineering takes a decision to form a subcommittee to study

student issues in written exams (final and mid-term exams) for the year 1444H and 1445H (Annex

S2-3-6-3). Recently, MENG program prepared academic integrity policy for faculty members,
students, and administrative staff with procedures for addressing violations of academic integrity

            (Annex S2-3-6-4).

During oral exams and student report discussions, the work of the students is reviewed. In hands-
on courses like graduation project, this issue is precisely measured through in-person discussions

and presentations (Annex S2-3-6-5 Student Oral Discussion). The presentations are graded by an

outside jury, meaning from other staff members, not the instructors. The jury would grade

whether the presentation of work is of the student's own work. The assignments and reports

submitted by students are also checked by random selection of some students to present their
            work during the lectures.
