5. Present Opportunities

The country’s GDP has grown 4.8% annually during the past decade and is
expected to grow 3.8% annually in the next 5 years. Paraguay is a source for
protein to the world. As stated, exports and imports are growing continuously and
thus, so are transportation as well as transportation related services.

The following are some relevant facts:

• As stated, per the “America Economia Internacional” magazine Paraguay
is one of the two countries with the greatest potential for agricultural
production growth.

• The Ministry of Public Works/ Inter-American Development Bank’s 2011
report stated that Paraguay will triple its export by 2030.

• According to Rediex, it is projected that meat export will grow from
400,000 tons in 2014 to 600,000 tons in 2020.

• Based on the Ministry of Agriculture and Cattle (MAG) report, the number
of head of cattle will grow from 14 million to over 20 million by 2020.

• Per the “Centro de Importadores del Paraguay” (CIP) imports and exports
increased considerably in the past 10 years, which are shown in various
tables in this report.
