LIVESTRONG yellow wristbands promoting the event. Young
Harley, age six, (after just completing his first round of
chemotherapy) joined in with a kid's group of friends by riding three
miles in a pedicab (a bicycle pulled carriage) arranged by Child
Specialists at Children's Hospital of Austin.

Friends participating that day included next to Harley: Jacob
Flaherty (patient and survivor of Rhabdomyosarcoma), Garrett
Burnham (patient and victim of Rhabdomyosarcoma in the back row
wearing a blue ball cap), Kyle (Garrett's brother), two of Jacob's
brothers, and Garrett's sister, Kaylie.
Harley and his parents became highly active in support groups for
kids with cancer shortly after Harley was diagnosed with Optic
Glioma right after his fifth birthday. The family's steadfast
participation in these organizations instilled and inspired Harley's
strong devotion and empathy for fellow kids with cancer.
