            ABSTRACT

                  I. INTRODUCTION

Sepsis and Septic shock is one of the leading causes of death with high incidence and

mortality rate. The Surviving Sepsis Campaign (SSC) is the global initiative to bring together

professional organizations in reducing mortality from sepsis and septic shock. In 2019, the SSC
provide 1-hour bundle guidance for clinican caring for patients with sepsis and septic shock.

We performed a crossectional study to observe the rate of 1-hour SSC - 3 bundle obligation

and several related factors in patients with sepsis and septic shock.

                  II. METHODS

We conducted a crossectional study in 40 patients age over 18 year-old and older,
diagnosed with sepsis and septic shock, admitted to Emergency Department at Hoan My Thu

Duc International General Hospital from 01/01/2021 to 30/06/2022.

                  III. RESULTS

The mean age of patients was 63.85±18.46; 57.5% patients were elderly people; 40%

cases were male. Almost the patients were Ho Chi Minh City and Binh Duong Province
residents. The mean BMI was 23.1 ±3.5; 40% patients were overweight and obese. The

sources of infection were found from: digestive system in 65% patients; urology system in 28%

cases; respiratory system in 20% cases. 97.5% patients were diagnosed sepsis, 100% cases had

diseases with non-surgical treatment. The mean APACHE II score and MEDS score at

admission was 9.3 ± 4.86 and 4.74 ± 3.22 points. The median SOFA score at admission was 2

            (interquartile range - IQR: 1; 3) points. 40% patients had SIRS score ≥ 2 points; 15% patients
had qSOFA score ≥ 2 points. The mean blood pressure of patients at admission was 90.25 ±

                                                                                                        94
