              Occurrence: it is widely distributed in nature (e.g. oil of coriander, nutmeg,
              lemon, sweat basil  ناحيرلا)

              It is present in oils in free and ester forms.


              Can be isolated from oils by: fractional distillation or a suitable
              chromatographic method.

              Uses:

               1- in perfume, cosmetics and flavour industries due to its pleasant odour.

              2- In some mosquito-repellent products

                          3- Insecticide for flea  ثوغربلا, fruit fly and cockroach






                         Properties: the presence of two double bond and a tertiary alcoholic
              group causes rapid degradation of linalool.

              1) Monocyclic monoterpene alcohol                            OH

              1- Menthol

              Occurrence: in oil of Mentha spp.                  Menthol
