kudos
That magic moment
Nothing says “Thank you” like, well, a thank you! Especially when it’s accompanied by a much coveted trophy, public
recognition—with all the good-natured ribbing that comes with it—and a $250 appreciation bonus. Over the past quarter,
several members of the REPS crew in Southern Maryland experienced their own moment in the spotlight as project leaders,
their coworkers, colleagues, and friends came together to recognize their extra efforts and out of the ordinary achievements.
Called the “Employee of the Moment” award, this recognition is where worthy REPS workers are nominated, selected, and
lauded by their own teammates. Pretty cool!
Below is some of what their nominators had to say about our latest crop of awardees.
Esha Bristol
Esha assumed the contract program management role for the CIPHER and GRFIN contracts
while the current PM was out on leave. During this time, Esha was instrumental in the
successful award of $16M of FY22 funding for REPS’ CIPHER contract with NAVAIR. Along
with assuming all CPM duties, Esha continued to successfully manage her current projects and
maintain the REPS resource tracking tool. We appreciate Esha’s double duty and say thanks!
Jeremy Hopple
Jeremy transitioned from being a valued member of the warehouse team into a technician role
this past summer. In that new capacity, Jeremy volunteered for the NSF Thurmont Outside
Plant project, which involved working outside pulling cable through manholes. Jeremy
enthusiastically embraced his new role and was the first to volunteer to go into the manholes
or to perform any tasks required. He is eager to learn and improve new skills such as fiber
splicing. The on-site lead and other team members are excited to have Jeremy on the team.
Great job Jeremy!
Shaun Parvin
Shaun's extraordinary efforts on the BDP-FoS project enables REPS to provide state-of-the-
art capabilities to the warfighter while saving the program approximately $10MM! Shaun
extensively researched and made functional all necessary Software Defined Radio (SDR)
code for 2G, 3G, and 4G cellular broadcast system technology. This software will allow our
customer and sponsor to have direct access to the underlying technology via open source
instead of paying over $100K per unit to procure the technology. He also found open-source
RF mapping software that will facilitate better mission planning across the family of systems.
This dedication and way beyond the job description effort also mean that REPS is now well
positioned to develop SDR-based solutions in the future. Well done, Shaun!
Brannon Scrivener
While preparing to deliver Test Transportable Trailer No. 1 to the STIL at NAS PAX, the MIL
team realized it didn’t have a method to transport the scissor lift to the location, which was
needed to install the SATCOM antenna and aid the team in assembling the antenna platform.
Without the scissor lift, the team would have used ladders to complete the installation,
prolonging the schedule. That is until Brannon offered a smart solution! He proceeded to obtain
a trailer and vehicle to transport the scissor lift to and from the site. Because of Brannon’s quick
thinking and follow through, the REPS team was able to complete the installation ahead of
schedule, greatly satisfying the government client. Way to go, Brannon!
