$11,500.00. His real estate was valued at $6,684.00.

Other family members were noted in the 1860 census as:

                       E.B. FOY(wife) age 39 born in Tennessee
James M. Foy age 19 born in Mississippi
                       B. Foy (female) age 16 born in Mississippi
Amos Foy age 13 born in Mississippi
Sidney Foy age 11 born in Mississippi
Henry Foy age 9 born in Mississippi
Augustine Foy age 7 born in Mississippi
Catherine Foy age 4 born in Mississippi

AMOS SIMMONS FOY, the first of our line of FOYs who came to Texas of
whom I can find a record, was the son of FREDERICK FOY, JR who was the
son of FREDERICK FOY, SR who was the son of THOMAS FOY.

Researchers have done an excellent job of sorting through records available in
North Carolina regarding the early FOYs in that area. As we have discussed
earlier, when there are more than one person with the same name at the same
time in the same area it is difficult to identify which records refer to which
person. Such was the case with the available records of FREDERICK FOY, SR
               and FREDERICK FOY, JR.

As one the very first FOY families to come to Texas was descended from him, it
is useful to examine some of the information uncovered regarding FREDERICK
               FOY, JR.

                                                           *****

               FREDERICK FOY, JR

The fact that he was NOT mentioned in the will of his father FREDERICK FOY,
