会話 3 : After-Care and Counselling
Logan has been hospitalized for a day.
His wounds are getting better so he can be released..
ローガンは一日入院しています。
彼の傷は良くなってきているので、退院することができます。
Doctor : Hello Sheryl . How are you doing?
Sheryl : Fine doctor.
Doctor : And Logan?
Sheryl : He is okay.
Doctor : Well the news is that we can release Logan soon.
Sheryl : Is there any bad news?
Doctor : No...but we need to talk about the after-care for Logan.
Sheryl : Yes?
Doctor : The most important thing is once you’re home, it is important to wash and redress the
burns once or twice a day.
Sheryl : I see.
Doctor : I think you have been in close contact with the nurses and you understand the
recommended method of bathing and dressing of wounds? Is that correct?
Sheryl : Yes. I have done it a number of times over the last few days.
Doctor : Good. Please contact us immediately if Logan comes down with a high fever or if there is
any change in his wounds.
Sheryl : I understand.
Doctor : Now, the burn and hospitalization has probably been traumatic 10 for Logan. It is normal in
11
these cases for the patient to suffer from slight post-traumatic stress . This may include
13
12
anxiety , nightmares and general lack of energy . We can recommend some counsellors if you
are concerned.
Sheryl : No. I think he will be fine.
