tithe is holy]. The entire tithe of the herd and flock- every tenth
animal that passes under the shepherd‘s rod-will be holy to the
Lord. The entire tithe is Holy to the Lord”. Leviticus 27:30, 32
[NIV]

Deuteronomy 14:22 [nIV]

“Be sure to set aside a tenth of all that your fields produce each
year”

Unknown to many Christians, tithing reappears in the new
Testament under the priesthood of Jesus.

Hebrews 6:19-20 says,

“This hope we have an as anchor of the soul, both sure and
steadfast, and which enters the Presence behind the veil, where
the forerunner has entered for us, even Jesus, having become High
Priest forever according to the order of Melchizedek”.

Jesus, then, is our High Priest in the order of Melchizedek.

In Hebrews 7:4-8, the Bible says,

“Just thinking how great he [Melchizedek] was: even the patriarch
Abraham gave him a tenth of the plunder! Now the law requires
the descendants of a Levi who became priests to collect a tenth
from the people-that is, their brothers-even though their brothers
are descended from Abraham. This man, however, did not trace

his descent from Levi, yet he collected a tenth from Abraham and
blessed him who had the promises. And without doubt the lesser
person is blessed by the greater person. {Abraham was lesser than
