TWO AGATE SNUFF BOTTLES
1750-1860
The first of flattened double-gourd form, supported on a flat oval foot;
the second very well-hollowed, of rounded square form surmounted
by a gently waisted neck, flanked by carved lion mask and mock ring
handles on the shoulders, all supported on an oval foot ring.

AN AGATE ‘HORSE’ SNUFF BOTTLE
1750-1860
Well-hollowed, of flattened, rounded square form, with a slightly
concave lip, supported on an oval foot ring, the white layer on one face
carved to form a horse tethered to a post.
