TWO MONOCHROME GLASS SNUFF
BOTTLES
1780-1850
The first of transparent peacock-blue, of
flattened circular form, each side with raised
panels of conforming shape, surmounted by a
tubular neck with a flat lip, supported on a flat
foot; the second of opaque turquoise glass,
of ovoid shape, the surfaces cut with multiple
facets, surmounted by a tubular neck and flat
lip, supported on a flat foot.

The first of translucent yellow glass in flattened
globular form, surmounted by a tubular neck
with a flat lip; the second of transparent ruby-
red glass also of flattened globular form, each
face with a raised circular panel, the sides
carved to resemble bamboo; both bottles
supported on oval foot rings.
