TWO OVERLAY GLASS SNUFF BOTTLES
1750-1820
Each of flattened globular form with cylindrical necks and flat lips; the
first with an opaque ocher body overlaid with transparent green glass
carved as the oval foot ring and a fish on one side, and a crab on the
other; the second with a crizzled transparent body overlaid with blue
glass, carved as the oval foot ring and a fat goldfish on each side.

A BLUE OVERLAY SNOWFLAKE GLASS ‘LONGEVITY’ SNUFF
BOTTLE
1750-1820
Of flattened ovoid form, gently rising to a short straight neck with a flat
lip above a pair of carved bats, each face decorated with finely carved
shou medallion with finely beaded outline, the sides carved with lion
mask and mock ring handles, all supported on a short oval foot.
