TWO GLASS SNUFF BOTTLES
1750-1850
The first of swirled ocher glass splashed with
bright red in imitation of realgar; the second of
bubble infused transparent glass, overlaid with
transparent ocher glass, carved to form two
writhing chilong, all supported on an oval foot
ring.

TWO OVERLAY GLASS SNUFF BOTTLES
1780-1850
Each of flattened, attenuated pear shape; the
first of opaque blue, the cinnabar-red layer
carved to form a chilong on each face with mask
and mock ring handles on the shoulders; the
second of translucent pale amber glass, the red
layer carved to form four gold fish swimming
amid duckweed and bubbles.

SNUFF BOTTLES

The first of ovoid form, each side carved with a
lion playing with a brocade ball, flanked by lion
mask and mock ring handles on the shoulders,
all supported on an oval foot ring; the second of
flattened globular form, carved with a continuous
scene of children playing, all supported on an
oval foot ring.
