An archaic bronze ritual wine vessel, jue
Shang Dynasty
The bronze encrusted with an attractive rich verdigris and typically
cast with a cylindrical body raised on three slender legs and ending
with a curved spout and pointed rim embellished with raised knops,
the body finely decorated on each side with a taotie mask divided by
low flanges, the loop handle concealing a pictogram.
