A fine silver and enamel tripod incense burner by
Anderson for The Bao Hua Company
Republic Period, circa 1930
Fitted with a wood cover carved with archaistic taotie mask designs
and surmounted by a jade lion-dog finial, Qing Dynasty, the vessel
with twin upright handles and with a band of pale green guilloché
enamel on a key pattern ground and archaistic dragons spaced by
plain roundels in relief above ancient text in blue enamel, raised on
plain supports, maker marked.
25cm (9 7/8in) high including cover, silver weight 800g (25.8oz) (2).

An unusual repoussé gold box and hinged cover
Late Qing Dynasty
The slim box and cover decorated in repoussé with attractive scenes
on one side with two men crossing a bridge, one holding aloft a
parasol, besides two birds and a bee in flight amidst flowering trees,
a deer prancing in a prunus grove on the cover, the reverse with two
figures on a terrace besides flowering prunus and peony trees, a
goose and a horse drinking at a stream on the cover.
