The compressed globular body enamelled with undulating leafy
scrolls of alternating red, white and purple blooms on a rich turquoise
ground, surmounted by a slender cylindrical neck flanked by two
animal-head handles encircled by tightly curled manes in gilt, all
below a gilt-bronze scrolling border. 15.2cm (6in) high

A cloisonné enamel pricket
candlestick
Qianlong
The flattened domed base elaborately enamelled
with a meandering leafy lotus scroll beneath an
interwined ruyi-scrolls, surmounted by a pear-
shaped stem supporting a drip pan, the drip
pan delicately decorated with a floret border, all
between a ruyi-head border below the rim and
above the foot.
