cover
Qianlong
The domed cover densely decorated in polychrome
enamels with three intricate lotus sprays encircling
a central blossoming bloom above a narrow band
of blue ruyi-heads, the base similarly decorated, all
reserved on a rich turquoise ground.

A pale green jade-handled knife with
cloisonné enamel scabbard
Qianlong
The scabbard extensively and brightly enamelled
with various floral and fruiting sprays including
chrysanthemum, prunus, crabapple and peaches
amidst auspicious objects enclosing double
gourds, finger citron, lingzhi fungus, a butterfly
and a bat, bound by gilt-bronze bands cast with
ruyi-heads and key-fret, the knife adorned with
smoothly polished stone of even tone.
