Each raised on three straight legs with the squat lobed body           each side, each surrounded by repoussé Daoist Emblems, the spout
                                                                       formed as the head of a makara and the handle as a slender chilong
decorated with an archaistic band containing confronted birds with     dragon neck, one finial carved as a figure from amber and another
coral beads for eyes divided by flanges against a leiwen ground
beneath a narrow band containing stylised dragons, the spout of        as a jade double gourd; the third ewer set with two flat jade plaques
                                                                       carved in low relief with figures in a rocky landscape and the handle
each ewer formed as the feathered head of a cockerel set opposite      of the ewer set with a chilong jade belt buckle, the jade finial carved
the fine lopped handle, each cover with two bands of stylised
dragons divided by three flanges and surmounted by a bird-shaped       as a duck; the fourth ewer with tear-shaped jade plaques each
                                                                       carved with a clambering chilong dragon in high relief surrounded by
finial rising from waves, wood stands. Each ewer 23cm (9in) long (6).  the Eight Buddhist Emblems in chased white-metal, the spout issuing

A group of white-metal and jade-inlaid vessels
The vessels Qing Dynasty with the jades Qing Dynasty or earlier
Comprising a tripod incense burner and cover, the body set with
two jade plaques and flanked by jade loose-ring handles, the finial
with a spinach jade bird; two white-metal moonflasks, each body
set on each side with a jade plaque and the smaller moonflask with
a jade monkey as the finial; a white-metal skull-shaped bowl and
cover surmounted by a coral bead beneath a vajra; and a three-sided
reticulated white-metal stand with flames on each side and smiling
heads at each corner. The tallest approx. 25.5cm (10in) high (9).
