A fine and large pair of powder-blue-ground
cylindrical vases
18th century
Each similarly painted with circular, fan-shaped and peach-shaped
cartouches containing various scenes including a lady seated
instructing two boys, a crane standing amidst precious objects, a
roaring Buddhist lion also amidst precious objects and a birdcage,
and birds perching on floral branches, the necks each with three
pomegranate-shaped cartouches containing birds and flowers, all
reserved against a powder-blue-ground.
Both about 54.cm (21½in) high (2).
