           SIX ARCHAISTIC CARVED JADE AND HARDSTONE
           ORNAMENTS
           Late Qing Dynasty
           Comprising a cicada of flattened form, finely detailed in relief and
           incised on the wings, perforated at the head, the translucent celadon
           stone turned opaque gray in areas; the awl-shaped pendant carved
           with a pair of bird’s feet and incised with three archaistic characters,
           drilled horizontally at the neck, the stone mottled green and brown;
           the elongated cong decorated with a band of circular emblems at
           the waist, the square corners divided into seven tiers with a circular
           rim on each end, the pale stone slightly degraded; the one-tier short
           cong with a raised band at the center of each corner, the cream color
           stone stained black in areas; the plain bi disc with gently sloped center,
           the celadon stone mottled russet brown; the oval bi disc with a long
           perforation at the center, decorated with neatly lined scroll pattern
           within raised borders, the reverse with raised bosses and line borders,
           the green stone stained dark brown in areas. (6)
           Cicada: 2 3/8in (6cm) long;
           Awl pendant: 3 15/16in (10cm) long;
           Elongated cong: 2 9/16in (6.6cm) long;
           Short cong: 1 3/8in (3.5cm) diam; 1 3/16in (3cm) high;
           Bi disc: 2 7/16in (6.2cm) diam;
           Oval bi disc: 2 9/16in (6.5cm) long

           Late Qing Dynasty
           One decorated with five chi dragons in relief, the mottled stone stained
           brown in areas; one decorated with a chi dragon in relief, the stone
           mottled green and black; the other decorated with three animal masks
           in relief, the translucent green stone mottled russet-brown in areas. (3)
           3 1/8in to 3 7/16in (8cm to 8.8cm) diam
