SIX ARCHAISTIC JADE AND HARDSTONE PENDANTS
Late Qing Dynasty
Comprising two qin-shaped pendants carved in the form of the
musical instrument and detailed with strings and tone markings,
perforated on one end for suspension, the pale celadon stone stained
black in areas; two bell-shaped pendants decorated with incised ‘leaf’
patterns suspended from a double string, the knop perforated for
suspension, the celadon stone stained russet-brown; two chi dragon
pendants, of ‘heart’ and trapezoidal shapes, the stone roughly carved
and stained russet-brown. (6)

FOUR ARCHAISTIC JADE AND HARDSTONE CARVINGS
Late Qing Dynasty
The crouching beast facing forward with ears back, the base flat, with
incised inscription between line borders, the stone opaque and tinted
black at the edges; the lychee with a grid pattern to depict the skin, a
small channel drilled between the fruit for stringing; the flatten ‘tortoise
shell’ drilled through the center to function as a bead, the olive-green
stone mottled brown in areas; the rectangular ring with incised keyfret
pattern on one side, perforated on short ends for attachment, the
olive-green stone with russet inclusions to one side. (4)
Beast: 3in (7.6cm) long;
Lychee: 2 1/8in (5.4cm) long;
Tortoise: 1 3/8 in (3.5cm) long;
Rectangular ring: 1 1/4in (3.2 cm) long
