           4.  a.  The flashback is the film that Ben Ross showed.
              b.  i.  A group of high school students was studying history, most of them in a sloppy and unmotivated way.
                ii.  The film brought the students to an awareness of Nazi atrocities. It also introduced them first to the benefits
                 of discipline and group action, and later to the disadvantages.

              b.   Ben Ross wanted his students to understand why the Germans did not try to stop the Nazis and to realize that
               Fascism arose out of human nature and such atrocities could happen again. He definitely did get the outcome
               he had hoped for.

           7.  a.  The anonymous letter made it clear that there was something wrong about The Wave and people could
               get hurt.
             b.  David’s violent attack on Laurie made him realize that The Wave was wrong because people were getting hurt.
