Checking of student’s registration form
“During the first day of class, the teacher must check the registration
form of the students to determine if they are officially enrolled in the course.
Officially enrolled students will have “REGISTERED” stamped on their
registration form.”
Class orientation
“Also during the first day of class, the teacher must give an orientation
to all students enrolled in the class pertaining to the objectives of the course,
course content, textbook that will be used, laboratory manuals and
references, and classroom management policies such as attendance, proper
decorum in the classroom, student assessment or evaluation, other class
requirements, and grading system. The teacher is required to provide a copy
of the course syllabus or course outline to each student. The student must
acknowledge the receipt of the syllabus or course outline by signing on the
Syllabus Acceptance Form.”
Checking of attendance
“The teacher is required to check and record the attendance of
students in the class for a period of 18 weeks per semester and 6 weeks for
midyear classes. The attendance sheet shall be used for this purpose. The
attendance of the student shall be the basis for dropping of students from the
roll following the University policy on students’ attendance found in the
Students Handbook (2012) and Registrar’s Manual (2009).”
