Level III Phase 2
Delivery of lessons
“The teacher is given the sole responsibility as to how the lessons will
be delivered to the class as part of the teacher’s academic freedom following
the approved course syllabus of the course. The teaching strategies are also
contained in the approved course syllabus. A lecture class must be 2 to 3
hours per week and a laboratory class must be 3 to 6 hours per week
depending on the requirements of the course.”
Classroom management
“It is the responsibility of the teacher to manage properly the classroom
or laboratory assigned to his/her class. The teacher must be in the classroom
or laboratory at least 5 minutes before the scheduled class. Cleanliness and
safety of the classroom or laboratory must be checked before and after
classes. The teacher must ensure that the classroom or laboratory is well
ventilated and lighted. At the end of each class, the teacher must ensure that
the blackboard/whiteboard is clean, return all equipment/apparatus properly,
close the windows and doors, and put off the lights. It is also the responsibility
of the teacher to maintain order inside the classroom or laboratory during
classes and avoid noise that may disturb other classes in the building.”
Student assessment or evaluation
“The student assessment or evaluation activities are found in the
approved course syllabus including other class requirements like laboratory
exercise, term papers, reports, class projects, student research, and student
