Billy Bob hissed as he was roughly grabbed by a man wearing long
heavy leather gloves. He twisted and turned, trying to jump free or
lash out at his tormentor, but he could not get out of the powerful
grip. Before he knew what had happened, he was back in another
cage, this one slightly larger than the one in the truck—but with little
more than enough room to turn around in. A trough at one end was
filled with brackish water next to a small plastic cup containing a
strange-smelling crumbled mass. But his attention was immediately
riveted on his neighbor, a cat who barely looked up as Billy Bob was
unceremoniously dumped into the next cage.
