d.  Prepare the Annual Procurement Plan and Laboratory Equipment
                                 Procurement Plan of the Department;
                              e.  Recommend and implement a Faculty Development Plan of the
                                 Department;
                              f.  Monitor the Performance of faculty, students and graduates of their
                                 Department;
                              g.  Take charge in the maintenance of existing facilities of their
                                 respective Department;
                              h.  Spearhead the Periodic conduct of curriculum review and propose
                                 revisions if necessary;
                              i.  Propose new curricular programs to be offered by their respective
                                 units;
                              j.  Submit the list of courses to be offered by the Department before
                                 the start of every semester (after the midterm of the present
                                 semester);
                              k.  Prepare faculty workload, faculty analysis and room utilization
                                 analysis every semester;
                              l.  Recommend the assignment of academic advisers, thesis advisers,
                                 technical critic and other assignments of the faculty members in
                                 their respective Department;
                              m. Recommend hiring of faculty members of their Department;
                              n.  Coordinate the academic programs, projects and activities of their
                                 Department;
                              o.  Inculcate moral values to their faculty and students; and
                              p.  Perform other functions as maybe assigned by the higher
                                 authorities.


                       TERMS OF REFERENCE OF ACADEMIC/Registration ADVISERS

                              a.  Monitor the academic progress of the assigned students;
                              b.  Keep a Cumulative Academic Folder (CAF) for each student. Fill-in
                                 or enter the grades of the students and update the CAF every
                                 semester;
                              c.  Advise the students on the subjects to be enrolled based on the
                                 progress of the students’ academic performance;
                              d.  Sign the registration forms of the students during enrollment;
                              e.  Refer to OSA students who need professional guidance and
                                 counseling;
                              f.  Ensure that the students have lived up to the University’s standards
                                 of excellence;
                              g.  Meet the advisory class on a regular basis; and
                              h.  Perform other duties as maybe assigned by higher authorities.
