STEP 3 — PLANNING: THE POWER OF WISE COUNSEL

Once you have determined in your heart what God is saying, it is time
to plan. The Bible tells us that the best way to plan is to seek advice. The
resources to understand what needs to be done and to implement the
strategy that God has given us may not lie within us alone. Books and
courses of study can help. Men and women who have the right
experience and knowledge to guide us are invaluable resources. So, ask
God to connect you to destiny helpers as you chart your way forward.
Pray and ask God to lead you to the right people, with the right spirit
and the right expertise to guide you. Ask God for divine encounters and
connections. Then draw on the wisdom and experience of those who
God has provided to guide you along the way.

 A prudent man gives thought to his steps. (Proverbs 14:15)

 Make plans by seeking advice. (Proverbs 20:18)

 He who walks with the wise grows wise, but a companion of
                 fools suffers harm. (Proverbs 13:20)

 For lack of guidance, the nation falls, but many advisors make
                 victory sure. (Proverbs 11:14)

 Plans fail for lack of counsel, but with many advisors, they
                 succeed. (Proverbs 15:12)

 Iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another.
                 (Proverbs 27:17)

“The way of a fool seems right to him,
but a prudent man listens to advice.”
                                   (Proverbs 12:15)

                                                                            89
