THE PROSPEROUS WAY

STEP 1 — PRAYING: THE PRAYER OF FAITH

Now, at last, it is time to employ the strategy that we described at the
very beginning of this book, which Christians often employ as their first,
last and only strategy for creating wealth: Now it is time to pray.

First, we pray that God will help us as we embark on the journey of self-
discovery: unearthing and understanding the talents that lie untapped
within us. We pray that God will show us how we can use these skills
and talents to create abundance in our lives.

Then we pray that God will open doors of opportunity and show us the
strategy by which we can begin to use those talents, in our current work
or in a new venture. We pray that God will bring destiny helpers into
our lives to help us achieve our goals. And we pray that God will give us
resources and wisdom to execute the vision. Now is the time to pray and
pray earnestly and pray consistently.

Prayer is not a one-time step. At each stage of your journey, you will
need to commit your plans and your activities to Him in prayer. So, it is
both where you start and where you finish. Always pray that God’s will
for your life will be accomplished and that He will prosper you and bless
you with good success in the work of your hands.

“Do not be anxious about anything,
but in everything, by prayer and petition,
with thanksgiving,
present your request to God.”
(Philippians 4:6)
