Chapter Forty-Seven

At least there’s that. I whisper, God, please work quickly
in Gord’s heart. If he wants out of the marriage, then please
don’t let this drag out. I have a little boy to think about and I
can’t spend another two years wondering if this man can ever
truly love me. I’ve lived with his rejection long enough and if
we aren’t meant to be together then I need to get on with my
            life. Amen.
I lock up the house and head for bed. Alone.
