RECLAIM YOUR DIGITAL GOLD

Justin Timberlake’s character plays an ordinary slum
resident who wakes up every day with only 23 hours on
the clock, implying that he has less than a day to live and
is forced to run the hamster wheel in order to survive
one more day. While Amanda plays a character from a
wealthy part of town who has all the time in the world.
The two form a tragic forbidden relationship of the
classes that leads to the film’s climax.

It’s a fascinating concept as the data basically underpins
society’s activities, and makes it all possible. Although
the movie is primarily concerned with the social class
structure. These data elements make you believe that
this is a real thing or situation that could happen. It
obviously looks to the future, as most science fiction
does, but it also speaks to the present and where we
          could go from here.

In this film, there are people who have a lot of time and
people who have little time, resulting in a social ladder
in which the two groups of people live in very different
worlds. People with a lot of time can afford to buy more
time to extend their lives, whereas people with a limited
amount of time are stuck in society’s wastelands, waiting
to die as their time runs out.

Now, although these two films highlight the real
possibilities of tomorrow’s world we might find ourselves
in that world sooner than we think given that all of
the technology exists and is in place, although mass
adoption is still required to make it a reality.
