represent the barriers we ourselves erect, preventing the Lord from

having our whole hearts.

Life in all its fullness comes from truly surrendering to God. Only He

can bring us to this point. It is a journey, whereby He extends His
invitation to join Him—and we accept it by yielding.

The way to life, the Word says, is narrow—and few find it. This could

be because we fall into unbelief and fear when our lives do not go as
planned, instead of trusting in the overwhelming supremacy of our

God. The way to find true life is to lose it—to sacrifice it totally and
unreservedly into His loving hands. This is made possible for us only

by His grace and love. For as it is written:

“for it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill his

good purpose.” (Philippians 2:13, NIV)

When we fall prey to the lies and deceptions of the enemy, we can be
hindered from taking that vital step of faith that will move us further

along on our Christian walk. A major lie of the enemy is to convince
us that by sacrificing all to God, we will miss out on life and be

miserable. Another lie is to try to lead us to believe that God is not

good.

But look what the Word of God has to say on the subject:

“I will proclaim the name of the Lord; how glorious is our God!
He is the Rock; his deeds are perfect. Everything he does is just and
