CHAPTER 5
A
nyway, I talked with Uncle Eddie for a bit, and after eating
my dinner, I walked upstairs to my room to start making my
plan.
The “get a boyfriend this year” plan.
Because this year—this eleventh–grade semester—I really wanted
to date someone. I’ve had thousands of people I’ve had feelings for, but
they were never the one. So, one by one, I listed some things and
qualities I wanted my boyfriend to have:
1. Has to be the same age as me or just one year older.
2. Needs to be a good guy—maybe funny, but of course, loyal.
3. Needs to accept that I can sometimes be shy or weird.
4. Has to accept my friends, especially my best friend.
So far, these were the only four things I could think of. But I didn’t
really think they were enough, because, as a human, you need at least
five or more personality traits to be a love partner (in my opinion).
So, I called Jayson to try to help me.
He answered in five seconds. “Hey, Kandis.”
I turned it into a video call so he could see the list I made.
“Hey, asleep yet?”
He shook his head and rubbed his hair. “No, what do you need?”
