INCLEMENT/BAD WEATHER PROCEDURE
Periodically, severe weather conditions may cause hazardous traveling conditions for employees
in their respective local and surrounding areas. Although no employees should take unreasonable
risks when weather conditions make it unsafe to report to work, employees should make all
reasonable efforts to report to work as scheduled. Unless Mission declares an emergency closing
or delay in operations due to inclement weather conditions, employees are expected to report to
work and will not be paid for any non-working hours during this time. Employees are required to
call their supervisor/manager as far in advance as possible if they will be absent or late due to
severe weather conditions. Employees may be notified of emergency closing via the following
method:
Recorded message: Employees should call (800) 373-3037 or (210) 696-4466 at least two (2)
hours prior to their scheduled work time. The recorded message will give employees detailed
instructions regarding any emergency closing or delay in operations.
