POLICY 101
FUNCTION OF THE EMPLOYEE HANDBOOK
Through the use of this Employee Handbook, it is the intention of Mission Pharmacal Company
(“Mission”) to ensure that all employees are treated fairly. Any deviation or exception to this policy
is subject to management and/or the People Operations Department’s approval and nothing
contained herein is to be construed as an expressed or implied contract.
PURPOSE OF THE EMPLOYEE HANDBOOK
This Employee Handbook applies to all employees of Mission. It provides employees with
important information about Mission’s policies and employee benefits. This Employee Handbook
dated February 1, 2021, replaces, and supersedes any prior written or verbal policies or practices
and goes into effect immediately upon distribution for all employees. More specific, internal
standard operating policies and procedures, safety and security programs, and supervisor/manager
instructions may also apply depending upon your job, as long as they are not in conflict with the
provisions of this Employee Handbook. Employees are required to comply with the provisions of
this Employee Handbook and any subsequent changes made thereto throughout employment.
CHANGE POLICY
Throughout your employment, Mission retains all management rights, including the right to make
any adjustment in the workforce at any time with or without prior notice. This includes the right
to hire, layoff and terminate employees at will, to change employee jobs, work schedules and make
adjustments in employee compensation and benefits. Mission may conduct investigations and
searches to ensure compliance with policies and procedures. Mission reserves the right to
unilaterally revise, delete, or add to any policy or benefit as needed at any time with or without
prior notice. Whenever a change is made, Mission will notify employees of the change(s) and the
effective date for the changes.
All employees are required to read, acknowledge, and comply with the provisions of this Employee
Handbook and any other Operational, Safety or Security policies or procedures in effect, which is
not contrary to the terms of this Employee Handbook.
Employees should refer to this Employee Handbook as a guide whenever questions of policy
interpretation or implementation arise. Issues needing clarification should be referred to the People
Operations Department.
