ORAL HISTORIES (Chelsea Morris)
On September 15, 2017, 12 short oral histories were collected from attendees to the Casemate Museum
Foundation Reunion event. These oral histories were intended as short "snapshots" about a particularly
memorable time/experience during the interviewee's time at Fort Monroe. They average about 5-10
minutes in length. As of 2/21/2020, these audio files have not been transcribed.
The oral histories followed a basic script, utilizing the following questions:
1. Can you please state your name?
2. What is your relationship with Fort Monroe?
3. Can you share a favorite memory or your time at Fort Monroe? OR What do you love about Fort
Monroe?
4. Is there anything else you would like to share with us today?
Chelsea Morris is willing to start the transcription process of these oral histories. She would like to
purchase the AltoEdge USB Transcription Foot Pedal (AltoEdge USB Transcription Foot Pedal) to make
the transcription process easier.
