The AIC provides practical trg in instructional
techniques for aircrew selected for instructional
duties in an airborne or airborne related envi-
ronment. Student ranks historically range from
Cdre (RN) to Sgt.

Although established for the purposes
of trg 22 Gp Aircrew Instructors (AIs), dedi-
cated places are also reserved for a limited
number of Land and Maritime AIs as well as
IDTs. Where possible OCU AIs and other
applicants are given places on a fill-up ba-
sis. The AIC is nominally run 6 times per
year training in excess of 90 aircrew instruc-
tors per annum for defence.

The AIC includes the DTTTv3, COT
and HP instructional requirements for
B2 instructor qualification.
