Each Group Company shall put in place arrangements to ensure that 20% of vehicles at each
location are subject to spot checks on an annual basis.
Such spot check shall as a minimum cover the following:
Driver defect slips
Wheel fitment and tyre condition
Lights
Doors
Emergency exits
Horn
Wipers
Heaters / demisters
Engine bay cleanliness
Compliance with fire risk assessments
Legal registration
Vehicle maintenance audits
Each Group Company shall put in place arrangements to ensure that at least 10% of the total fleet
is subject to a vehicle maintenance audit annually, taking into account the diversity of models and
ages,
Furthermore, each Group Company shall ensure a minimum of 10% of vehicles at each location
are audited every 2 years.
As a minimum, an internal audit shall cover:
Driver defects procedure
Vehicle inspection planning process
Vehicle inspection process
Vehicle off-road process
Vehicle condition check
Vehicle inspection record keeping
Wheel fitment policy compliance
Tyre management
Technician / engineer competence
NX Global Standard compliance
NX Global Maintenance Standard compliance
An internal audit shall also cover all relevant vehicle maintenance processes to ensure that the
maintenance schedule is consistently applied in compliance with all legal requirements and Group
Standards.
An internal audit shall also ensure that the engineers undertaking maintenance have been suitably
trained and that their competence to undertake the tasks they are performing can be adequately
demonstrated.
