Maintenance facility (workshop) audits
Each Group Company shall ensure that each location where vehicle maintenance is performed is
subject to a Maintenance Facility (Workshop) audit at least every 4 years.
Arrangements for Maintenance Facility (workshop) audits shall ensure that, as a minimum, the
following areas (where applicable) are checked:
Flow and segregation of vehicles and pedestrians
Maintenance areas
Emergency and evacuation routes
Storage of dangerous substances
Fire protection systems
Electrical installations
Compressed air installations
Roads and parking areas
Arrangements for use of alternative fuel types
Tools and Equipment, including their calibration and inspection
Arrangements for manoeuvring vehicles without their own power
4.2.3 People
Maintenance Directors shall ensure adequate resource is dedicated to meeting the requirements
of this Global Maintenance Standard.
Maintenance Managers shall ensure:
All engineers who are required to undertake any part of the internal audit process are
suitably trained and competent to do so
Sufficient engineers are trained and competent to fulfil internal audit requirements.
4.3 Peer Audit
4.3.1 Principle
Each Group Company must ensure that it’s maintenance practices are subject to review from
within the Group.
4.3.2 Process
Group companies shall ensure that at least 2 visits per year are carried out in order to subject the
audits carried out to internal audit and verification.
