External Cleanliness Process (School Bus - North America)
The exterior washing must be completed paying special attention to those areas directly
related to safety, such as lights, front windows, rear-view mirrors, etc.
Exterior cleaning must be carried out at least twice per year.
This can be completed using any system that guarantees proper cleanliness such as
washing tunnel, single brush, hand washing, etc.
In all cases, before starting any exterior cleanliness of the vehicle, the operator must ensure
that all windows and doors are completely closed to avoid water ingress which may cause
damage or failures.
External cleanliness Standards Manual
A Cleaning Standards Manual developed for buses and coaches is available, which includes reference
images.
5.4 Special cleaning of the vehicle
5.4.1 Principles
Each of the companies in the Group will have to define a special cleaning procedure for vehicles to
ensure that the vehicles are in the best possible cleaning conditions.
This standard defines the requirements that must be met in the event that a vehicle needs to be
cleaned outside the intended planning. In addition, this standard establishes a minimum quality
that must be met in order to achieve the objective.
5.4.2 Process
Exterior washing should be carried out with special attention to areas directly related to
safety, such as lights, front windows, rear-view mirrors, etc.
The special cleaning must be carried out when the needs require it (special events,
Adverse Weather, bodily fluids...).
This can be complemented with any system that guarantees an adequate cleaning such
as washing tunnel, simple brush, hand washing, etc.
In all cases, before starting any special cleaning of the vehicle, the operator must ensure
that he has all the means to carry out the cleaning and the authorization of the person
responsible.
