About Being a Grandmother
grandchildren is a supernatural work of God,
and unless there is outside interference or
adverse and negative influences in that
relationship, grandchildren also just seem to
naturally love their grandparents.
These kinds of feelings, however, can create
problems in the grandparents’ relationship with
their own adult children because we can become
too involved, both physically and emotionally,
in our grandchildren’s lives, forgetting that we
are not the parents and do not have control over
the training and upbringing of our grandchildren,
unless, of course, our children graciously (and
wisely ) allow us to be integrally involved in
their training.
Because I’ve loved my grandchildren so dearly
and because I am a devoted and conservative
Christian, I became very protective of my
